"cx complaint, cx was using the middle burner on simmer and turned it up. when they turned it up it made a loud hissing noise and after a minute or 2 they had black soot on the burner head and cap. unit is on propane. i verified the unit has the correct orfices for LP and regulator is converted. i set unit to simmer and let it run few a minutes or 2 then turned burner up. did that several times but flames look good but black residue started to appear on cap. i wiped it off, seems like soot. i could not replicate the noise issue. i called techine to document, they advised replacing all parts of the middle burner.
