unit has a failed thermistor and control wont turn off will need both parts cx doesnt want to repair and is upet that it cost this much to repair stated she was told a way cheaper price

Well naturally we were upset that the electronics controlling our gas range had been affected by a nearby lightning strike.
And we didn’t begrudge the $120 fee to come to and up our mountain. The tech was on time and knew his stuff, but almost $400 for the replacement panel seemed exhorbitant. And I saw no burn marks.Then, when I asked to keep the failed part, the tech said that he had to turn that back to the company “so that they could find out what had failed, and repair it”. That didn’t go down well.
So we ended up paying almost $500 for the visit, and the replacement board, all of which was exchanged in about forty-five minutes.
That was tough on two retirees!

Eric was professional and knowledgeable with how to trouble shoot Whirlpool ice maker issue. For us, we find it is worth the money to use Via, Inc. technicians who are familiar with Whirlpool products.
