Cx complaint is that the unit is not spinning out the clothes. Upon arrival I found that the unit has no error codes. i also found that I was able to rotate the agitator independant from the basket. I then ran a drain and spin cycle and found that the hub is stripped. I attempted to remove the agitator to access the hub and found that the agitator base is tight to the shaft. i am ordering the coupler and agitator base and will use the hub on return visit.; ordrng 1 W11418231 (Agitator) and 1 W11561052 (Coupler)

Upon arrival I found that the unit had leaked during the first cycle after the repair. I also did not clean the dishes. I removed the kick plate and verified that the water line was connected securely. I then turned the supply back on and found that the line is not leaking. I then noticed that the OWI sensor was not seated properly and was in an angle. I was able to resecure the OWI properly. I then started a quick wash cycle and allowed the unit to fill and spray. I found that the unit is not leaking from the element or the OWI. Unit is now functioning as intended without any leaks. Job complete.

Wait 2 mins before unplugging the unit so the 3 Way Valve goes into home position. Filled the unit with 140 Psi of Nitrogen. Waited 20 mins. No changes in pressure. Pulled a deep vacuum. CX complains unit is making alot of banging and clicking noises while heating. Cx states when they heated unit to 400* unit made a very loud bang and cx does not want to use the unit anymore. Heated unit to 450*F to replicate issue. Unit began creeking from heat stress at about 300*F. Unit reached 450*F with some minor crackleing and popping sounds from the metal expansion. but nothing like what CX described. Called techline to document and spoke to Bruce who said unit heat expansion is normal operation and unit should be left at 450*F for 2 hours to heat treat metal. Advised cx about leaving oven on for 2 hours cx states she does not believe unit is safe to use and will seek legal action. no further work needed.

Cx complaint is that they had a ring of grime around the top portion of the spin basket. Upon arrival I found that the cx was able to wipe the residue off of the spin basket. Cx stated that it has not occured since that one time. I informed the cx that the level of the grime is about where the rinse cycle would fill to. Cx alkso said that the load may have been an extra dirty load. I found that the unit is functioning as intended. Cx is also using the L&G system. Job complete

"Cx complaint is that the unit is not cooling. Upon arrival I found that the unit is around 73 degrees inside. The fan is running. I found no frost pattern. I then accessed the rear of the unit and found that the compressor is running. I found that all of the lines are room temp. I did an amp draw and found that it is drawing .38 amps. I found that the discharge tube is in black material in the drain pan. I called JL and informed him of my findings. I am ordering the sealed system repair with compressor, filter, evap and disharge line. "Customer complaint is that the unit is not cooling properly again. Found the evaporator has frozen over again. Thermistor read from the control and found it at 85.2kohm, off the chart for negative temperatures. Thermistor has already been replaced twice and the heater harness has also been replaced. Wiring between the control and cabinet tested good. Retested the thermistor resistance from the control a second time after reconnecting the cabinet harness and found it at 57.2kohm, still way out of range. Contacted Whirlpool Tech Support and determined that the issue must be in the cabinet harness, not field repairable."
