This vicit was is a call back on a sealed system job I did on 11/1/23. Upon arrival I took low side pressure and it was sitting at a 5in vac. Couldnt do high side. FC tem is at 2F and RC is at 38F. The complaint is CX hears ringing and swooshing noises. To me the unit sounds like it is functioning normally bowever the compressor is making a loud ringing noise. Temp of compressor was warm/maybe a lil more at best. I tried moving all lines and condenser and nothing made this sound go away.Im not sure if the sound is coming from the lines inside of unit and just vibrating in the back. The swooshing noise is absolutely normal when refrigerant is moving through the lines. Called WPTL to document this appt to avoid any escalation with CX in future. Spoke to Adrian at WPTL.

Cx complaint is that the unit is not making ice. Upon arrival I inspected the lower harness and found no signs of broken or damaged wires. I then ran test 44 and found that the ice maker was able to complete the harvest cycle. I then ran test 45 and found that it filled as well. I ran test 47 and found that the thermistor is reading valid temp cooler than harvest temp. I then ran test 48 and found that the ice maker bucket detector switch is not responding or changing when the bin is removed. Inspected the unit. Found that the cx is saying that the Refrigerator isn't Dispensing Water from Dispenser / Ice Maker isn't making Ice. Cx just replaced the Water Filter. Took out the Water Filter. Tested the Dispenser. Dispenser is now Dispensing Water. Removed Ice from the Fill Tube to the Ice Maker with Steam Gun. Tested the Ice Maker. Ice Maker Harvested & Filled. ( Cx has the Freezer Section too packed. Lower Bin has Ice and will not allow you to pull it out. I advised the cx they will need to turn the unit off and lay down towels to catch the Water. Steam Gun isn't clearing ice when I tried. ) Unit is working as Designed. Cx paid in full by Card. If the cx calls back order the Water Filter Housing = W11162042. Don't go without parts.

Cx complaint is that the unit is making a loud noise when spinning. Upon arrival I found that the unit has no error codes. When started a spin cycle I found that the splutch has failed and is causing the noise. i accessed the bottom of the unit and found that the nut has worked it's way off of the shaft allowing the pulley and belt to slide down against the cover. i was able to replace the belt and Splutch. CX complaint sometimes unit works sometimes it doesnt. Entered diag and found no saved codes. Found temp sensor reading 70F. Preheated oven to 350F and while preheating checked the drawer and found left side slide disconnected which allowed a pan to fall out and ground itself to ignitor. Corrected slide and allowed unit to pre-heat. Unit preheated 350 and using thermocoupler verified temp and watched it cycle. Unit now checks good no further work needed

I then ran thru the testing for the error code and found that the the element is reading 18.2 Ohms at J3-1 and J3-2. I quoted the cx for the cost of the repair. "CX complai t is that the upper oven will not start a bake cycle. I found that all the cooktop burners are opperating as designed. I found that the lower oven is starting a bake and broil cycel. In the upper oven the broil will start , but no the bake. I was able to use a moving mat and pulled unit out of the cab. I accessed the rear and ohmed out the upper oven bake ignitor . I only foun d 13.8 OHM's resistanse . I plugged the igniter back in and tested board between P2-3 & P6-3 . I found 13.8 OHM's resistanse. i am ordering 1 igniter (WPW10324738) and 2 screws (WP4159193). I have set a return date for 11/16. I collected payment for complete repair in the amount of $461.99. Cx complaint isn that the unit is making noise when it is spinning. Upon arrival I found that the unit is level. i also ran the manual spin cycle and found that the unit is not making the noise. I inspected the area surrounding the unit and found that the water lines are resting against the back panel. WHen the unit is starting a spin cycle with a load in the hoses are bouncing off of the panel causing the noise. I advised the cx to use pool noodles on the water lines to minimize the noise. unit is functioning as intended. job complete.
