"Confirmed cx complaint gaskets coming off both doors. Found gaskets stiff, out of tracks. Reformed gaskets with heat guns, advised cx to call back if issue persists. If cx calls back must pre-id W10861499 Freezer door gasket and W10838574 Fridge door gasket for return visit.; ordrng 1 look"

"Confirmed cx complaint unit not cooling properly. Found frost buildup in freezer compartment, unit not going into defrost mode properly. Unit is known to have electrical issues due to moiture exposure in pantry UI. Cx has previously had evap fan thermistor replaced in unit with no improvement. Unplugged pantry UI, power cycled unit and put it into defrost mode. Instructed cx to call back if issue persists, created quote for board replacement.; ordrng 1 WPW10624574 (cntrl-elec) and 1 WPW10675033 (cntrl-elec) and 1 W10804160 (cntrl-elec) and 1 W11387384 (UI)"

Well naturally we were upset that the electronics controlling our gas range had been affected by a nearby lightning strike. And we didn’t begrudge the $120 fee to come to and up our mountain. The tech was on time and knew his stuff, but almost $400 for the replacement panel seemed exhorbitant. And I saw no burn marks.Then, when I asked to keep the failed part, the tech said that he had to turn that back to the company “so that they could find out what had failed, and repair it”. That didn’t go down well. So we ended up paying almost $500 for the visit, and the replacement board, all of which was exchanged in about forty-five minutes. That was tough on two retirees! Eric was professional and knowledgeable with how to trouble shoot Whirlpool ice maker issue. For us, we find it is worth the money to use Via, Inc. technicians who are familiar with Whirlpool products.
