Arrived to cx address to repair per prior tech's diagnosis. while talking with the cx found that RAC had done work to the unit on the water lines and in doing so compromised the liner of the unit. they filled the holes with putty to try and seal it back up but warm air is still able to enter the unit. the water lines are also kinked in some spots passing through the liner. this is a non servicable area. called WPTL spoke to Adrian. cx contacted RAC for further actions. job complete

"Customer complaint is that the unit shut down in the middle of the cycle, lid is locked. Customer had the unit unplugged. Unit plugged in and the display will breifly flash F5 and then reset. Disconnected power and disconnected the latch from the control. Power restored, but the unit continues to flash the same error. Manually released the door strike from the latch and plugged latch back in. Power restored and the unit powered on normally. Unit put into diagnostics and the unit has error codes F5E1, E2, and E3. Issue is in the latch assembly. Latch replaced and unit tested. Unit is working properly. Old part left with customer."

"upon arrival cx said after he defrosted unit, it did make a couple batches of ice but stopped again because overfrosting came back. tech sheet has a note saying twist tray icemaker thermistor will test open in diagnostics. pressed icemaker test button and it harvested and filled fine, icemaker not needed. tested heater and it is heating, brown wire is secure. put a piece of tape around brown wire connector to make sure it doesnt unplug again. found defrost thermistor only reading 3.4k while encased in frost. cleared all frost with steamer and replaced defrost thermistor from v/s. advised cx monitor and call back if overfrosting comes back or if it stops making ice again.; ordrng 1 WPW10384183 (thermistor(AD v/s)), used 1 WPW10384183 (thermistor(AD v/s)) from stock"

"Upon arrival Unit was working as designed except for the ice maker. FC temp was-2 and RC was 37. Evap fan running properly. Checked voltage from control and got 12.74vdc and same at fan itself. CX claims that carboard on boxes gets soft every now and then. Checked line going into IM and it was not frozen, however the fitting on valve itself was cracked in half. This is the reason water is not getting to IM. Made sure line was seated properlySpoke to Ed at WPTL (SR#7734846698). Went over findings and was tolf all my readings were good. Thinks the soft boxes are from unit being in defrost or CX leaving door open accidentally. Ordering dual valve. Spoke to CE and CX rescheduled for 12/9/22.; ordrng 1 W11482383 (dual valve)"

cx complaint unit was making noise but no water was dispensing. inspected unit and entered into daig and found f8e1 error code. ran auto test and found water was not dispensing as designed. removed both hot and cold lines and dispensed them into basket and found water pressure from house was good. removed inlet valve and found settlement in valves. cx is running on well water. was able to replace the valve and test unit. unit now checks good. i did advise cx to get screens for there water lines.

Cx complaint unit not making ice. Found filter to be jammed into filter head causing no water to pass through and be dispensed. Removed filter and now water comes out at proper pressure. Other complaint was ice maker does not produce ice. Inspected and found arm had popped out in the off position. Re installed arm and turned ice maker on. Unit needs a filter head and filter. Possible ice maker but told Cx to let us know in 24 hours. Quoted Cx for filter head and filter repair. Cx paid 120.00 for service call ; ordrng 1 W10844267 (Filter head) and 1 EDR1RXD1 (Water filter)

Cx complaint unit makes noise. Ran test 4 and found compressor to be running and no noise being produced. Ran test 3 and found the evap fan hitting ice creating noise. The freezer door gasket wasn't sealing along the top creating ice to collect around the fan. Defrosted ice around fan then applied heat to gasket so it would seal. The door seals all the way around when closing. Unit checks good
