cx complaint unit leaking and producing a grinding sound when in agitation. inspected unit and found errors f8e6 foe3 f9e2 saved in diag. checked under unit and found clearly visible water/oil staining on the gearcase and insulation surrounding the stator. ran test 51. when running test noticed that the unti was grinding against a small black plastic tray that the cx had placed under the unit to stop the leaking. removed tray and all noises after sounded perfect. removed the top assembly and found that there was a sock lodged in the dispenser cup causing it to overflow and leak down the unit. removed sock and cx small drip tray and tested unit. unit now checks good. collected only for service call.

"cx complaint unit was giving f8e4 error but now wont run cycles, only runs drain pump. inspected unit and verified complaint. have f10e2 vent, f7e1 single speed washmotor failure, f8e4 overfill. unit just runs drain pump forever. found heater bushings completely deteriorated, pic saved. heater caused leak slowly drip on to wash motor and shorted out motor and took out control with it. cx said he hasnt noticed any water damage down stairs, dont see any water damage under unit. heater leak wouldnt cause f8e4 error tho. took door apart and found moisture around vent and streaks on door panel and insulation running all the way down. ordering heater, sump, control and vent. S17304 to cover parts affected by heater leak but charging labor for vent. quoted 347.22 paid in full with c/c.; ordrng 1 W11537778 (heater) and 1 W11414073 (vent) and 1 W11410061 (control) and 1 W11416362 (sump asm)"

Disconnected power and disassembled unit to remove tub vacuumed and cleaned all the lint out of the unit. Replaced parts as stated by previous tech reinstalled all parts and tested unit. Found dryer vent completely clogged and needs to be cleaned. Customer scheduled a vent cleaning while I was here. CX compliant was that the ubnit was not spining the water out. I found that the splutch drive wheel had dropped . I was able to resecure the cam and then tested the unit . I found the to be opperating as designed. CX also complaint is the unit slides across the floor. I found the unit tobe in a unplumbed pan and the pan is sliding on the floor. I advised CX to remove the unit from the pan and test see if that helps. Unit test good.

Removed kickplate and found condenser coils dirty and advised cx to clean them. Also found right gasket on RC door beginning to tear and allow air to enter. "Customer complaint is that the unit vibrates and knocks during the spin cycle. Customer had the unit loaded and it was spinning on arrival. Found the noise is the drain and water lines smacking against the back of the unit. Cabinet was not quite level. Cabinet leveled and unit tested unloaded. Unit is working properly. Because the unit is sitting in a drain pan and can neither be moved forward or backwards, recommended customer place something soft between the unit and the supply/drain lines to stop them from smacking the back of the unit."

Cx complaint unit is not cooling things in top of RC only bottom. Arrived today and inspected unit found temp at top of RC at 65 degrees. Found in crisper drawer to be 48 degrees. Put unit into diagnostic mode and and ran test 1 unit reading 38 degrees in RC which is way off. Test 56 ti run evap fan and its working. Unit thinks its cold enough where the evap fan doesnt run.
