I'm getting E5 = Ice Maker Thermistor is bad. I then ran Service Test 57 - Ice Maker Harvest Test. Ice Maker Harvested. Ran Service Test 45 - Ice Maker Fill Test. Ice Maker Filled. I then ran Service Test 36 - Ice Box Fan Motor Test. Ice Maker Fan Motor is running. Ran Service Test 15 - Emitter Board Test for Ice Bin. Emitters are changing from 02 to 01. Unplugged the unit for 5 mins. Reran Service Test 56 - Ice Maker Error Codes. I'm now getting E0 = No error codes. Called Whirlpool Techline Ref #. Per Whirlpool Techline the unit would need to be unplugged for 5 mins for the unit to reset it self after replacing the Ice Maker. Per Whirlpool Techline, don't replace any parts yet. If the cx calls back Reorder Ice Maker = W11579560 & User Interface = W11579559. Don't go without parts."

Cx complaint is that the unit is tripping the breaker intermittently since the last repair. Upon arrival I found that the unit has no error codes. I then started a diag test and ran an amp draw test during the complete diag test. I found no ampr draw over 8.1 amps except for one brief spike at 10 amps. I called TL and SPoke with Bruce. I informed him of my findings. He stated that the unit is performing within its normal amp range and the breaker may be the issue. I informed the cx that the breaker would need to be looked at by an electrician. Unit is functioning as intended. Job complete.

cx complaint is the unit not making any ice since last repair. i found bin was empty and IM had cubes hanging out of it that were hitting the bail arm. i removed ice and IM cycled on its own and dropped another batch of ice. cubes are the correct size but are bridged together. i adjsuted the fill level on IM. FC temps are set to recomended. my prob shows 4 in FC. i adjusted the FC temp down a few degrees. unit is working as designed. i informed cx the bin should be full in 3 days (72hr). she was upset that that is considered working correctly. i informed cx thats as good as it gets. she is going to monitor unit and call back if it doesnt fill the bin.

cx complaint is the unit not dispensing ice. cx said they tried to remove bin and it was stuck. confirmed complaint. bin is full of ice from what i can see and it is jammed in place. auger sounds like its turning but nothing is coming out of the dispensor. i was able to remove bin and found ice build up under bin and inside of ice. cycled IM and it filled and began leaking form rear of the tray. i removed IM and cleared all ice/frost and inspected. i cant find any cracks in the tray or funnel. reinstalled and tested again. it still leaked. i could see it leaking from the fill tube where it meets the funnel. removed fill tube and found it torn at the edge causing water to flow oddly. i cut small piece that was haning off and tested agian. unit filled propelry. no leaks. working as designed.
