Inspection of the drive system found the rotor bolt loose and the gearcase leaking oil. Rotor removed and slider and clutch inspected. Found the slider is coming apart and wearing on the clutch. Unit needs a new slider, clutch, and gearcase. Checked to make sure the wash plate was removable and it is not, washplate is seized to the gearcase. Reservoir and valve are frozen. Found cold air bleeding down from where the ice maker fill tube go up into the top of the cabinet. Air is bleeding around the gaskets at the back of the ice box assembly and getting over it, freezing the reservoir and valve. Unit needs a new valve and gaskets. cx complaint lost cooling in the RC and the FC is frosted up again. inspected unit and found thick frost on outside of evap cover. I ran test 5 and found defrost sensor shows open. test 13 I found no heat from heater. pulled evap cover and tested heating circuit and found 126.4ohms. forst heater on and tested voltage at plug and found 120.4vac. plugged harness back in and found heater to come on. defrosted evap and called TL was told terminal must have been loose in connector. was told to let it go and see what it does. unit now checks good.

Cx complaint is that the unit is making a loud banging when spinning. Upon arrival I found that the unit has an F8E1 and an F0E1. I cleared the codes and ran the diag test and found that the hot water was turned off to the unit. I turned the valve on. i also noticed that the outlet also has a Tank Monitor box plugged into it with the washer. I explained to the cx that the unit needs its own dedicated outlet/circuit. I found that the suspensin is functional. Unit is able to spin smoothly. Unit is functioning as intended. Job complete

arrived to install heater and cx said unit is having issue draining. sometimes unit does not drain at end of cycle and cx has to press cancel to drain unit. i checked for codes and found F9E1 long drain. cleared code and ran service cycle. unit completed cycle with no issues. high loop is installed. i replaced heater with preIDed part and tested drain pump while unit was out. pump reads 31ohms (in spec). ran another service cycle with no heater installed. no leaks or error codes. quoted cx for a new wash motor. they said they are going to call whirlpool before deciding to have unit fixed.; ordrng 1 W11416362 (sump assembly)
