Cx complaint is that the unit is not cooling in the RC. Upon arrival I found that the cx had defrosted the unit a few days before and it has been cooling properly since. I entered diag and tested the thermistors and damper. I then tested the defrost circuit and found that the defrost heater is not energizing. I found that the harness has separated. i am ordering the heater/harness assembly and the ice door. I found that the ice bin has frost built up and found that the door is not sealing when closed. "Customer complaint is that the unit is cutting out during the drain cycle, giving an F9E1 error code. Unit was completely empty on arrival. Drain catch is clear, pump is not obstructed. Ran test cycle and the unit just keeps running the drain pump, will not fill. Air trap is not clogged, pressure hose is good. Reran the test cycle and the drain pump ran for a very long time, but did finally start running the test cycle. Suspect an issue with the pressure switch. "CX complaint unit is not properly draining. Arrived today and verified complaint. Inspected unit and found filter to not be properly installed in some. Place unit into diagnostic mode and found no error codes. Tested unit in Cycle after correctly inserting filter unit filled and started washing after five minutes of washing I had forced unit into drain. Unit drain completely, and was able to visually see water flowing into garbage disposal, as well as looking from top of sink can see water flowing into disposal. After drain was finished, there was no more water inside unit. Unit had some smell inside caused by sitting dirty water. Explain to customer that he could get the afresh tablets from the grocery store or use white vinegar to help remove some of smell. Unit is working as designed customer paid for service call job complete."

cx says the freezer temps are swinging dramatically. freezer temp of 6f and refrigerator temp of 42f. temps set to 40f and 0f. compressor amp draw of .75aac. low side pressure is -14psi and high side pressure is 110psi. unplugged the unit and pressures equilized to 8psi. compressor replaced on 3/16. pressurized the unit to 140psi with nitrogen and waited 20 minutes. bubble checked for leaks and didnt find any. called tech support and spoke with a rob. he thinks there is a leak and told me to split the sides. did and repressurized. found small leak in the heat loop. 2 psi in 20 min. called tech support back and spoke with a steve. same file number unit under review.

Cx complaint is that the unit is making a loud noise. Upon arrival I found that the FC evap was frosted over and the fan is hitting the frost making the noise. Cx stated that the fan has been replaced twice before by another service company. I checked the pantry harness and UI and verified that both are serviceable. I then entered into diag and ran test 3 and 36 and found that the fans are all running smoothly. I then entered test 38 and found that the Ui is not allowing the long forced defrost option. I entered it into short cycle and found that the unit is not entering into defrost. I quoted the cx for the cost of the repair. Cx paid the service call and is deciding on the repair. Cx is also looking into getting and extended waranty.

"Cx complained the unit did not cool. Inspected the unit and found with the compressor and fans running, there was no frost pattern, just on the bottom 2 coils of the evaporator. The bottom of the evap has kinks in it as well (see sd pic). Explained all to tech support and they suggest sealed system work. Unit needs new evap, drier, compressor and couplers. Sealed system tech required. 3 job count. Put unit through diagnostic cycle, unit filled with water then all lights went off and unit sat with water inside. Unit is showing no error codes, was able to manually run unit through spin, and drain. Unit will manually drain and spin with no issues. Found belt guard to be rubbing splutch area as well.
