I was able to access and replace all parts. I was able to cycle the control on and off 5 times. I then attempted to recalibrate the unti and start a auto test and found that the MN/SN info was not saved in the controls. I removed the new console and reconnectree the old console and found again that the MN/SN info was not avalible. I called WP Tech Line and spoke to Chris. I explained my findiongs and TL informed me that the unit is no repairable.

Inspected the unit. Found that the cx is saying that there Food is Freezing on the Top Shelf. I advised the cx that the top shelf will need to clear of the Damper 3 inches all the way around the Damper Control. Checked the Damper Control. Damper is opening / closing . The Damper Control is making a rattle noise. Ordering Damper Control. ; ordrng 1 WPW10594329 (Whirlpool Refrigerator Damper Control)

CX complaint unit stops cooling. Arrived today and verified complaint. Found frost all over back wall in freezer. Remove the evap cover and found evaporator fully frosted went behind unit to control and tested their thermistor on P8 connector and found thermistor at 66K ohms, which is , not in spec. Tested defrost heater on control and had an open line. Use steam to remove frost off evaporator and found harness pin, separated from connector causing an open line on heater as well as found thermistor not seated properly replaced or thermistor with van stock part. Re-pin connector with heater harness, using electrical tape made sure connections were secure Placed unit into diagnostic mode and ran defrost heater heater now gets hot. Cleared all ice and reset. Power fan is now blowing cool air into refrigerator. Unit is now working as designed call Techline SR number above to document my findings. job complete ; ordrng 1 WPW10384183 (Thermistor VS), used 1 WPW10384183 (Thermistor VS) from stock"

"cx complaint is a banging noise. cx said noise happens during spin and now says its happening during agitation as well. i found no saved codes. cx had unit loaded with towels so i started a bulky/heavy duty cycle. unit filled and began agitating. it started making a chirping/rubbing noise when turning in 1 direction. cancelled cycle and ran drain and spin cycle. inspected under unit and found drive pulley only hand tight. nothing else out of place. tighened and ran bulky cycle again. noise did not return. documented with techline beings cx wants unit replaced. they advised if noise returns to replace gearcase, drive motor and belt. unit is currently working as designed."

"CX complaint unit was not drying dishes as they once were. After a previous text visit, he had found the heating element was disconnected from sump assembly. Causing heating element to not heat and dry dishes. After previous tech visit, he had thought that unit may need a new sump assembly, which was causing the issue. Arrive today and inspected unit checked for error codes and had none present. Ran a test cycle unit completed cycle with no issues all functions worked properly inspected inside unit and found middle spray arm to be completely clogged, which could be the reason why nothing was getting washed in the middle of the unit. Removed spray arm and cleared debris. Retested spray arm is moving and is clear of any debris. Speaking with customer he has stated since last text visit everything has been working fine and dishes have been drying, he has stated he did not want to replace sump because it is working. He has stated if this continues to happen again, he would give us a call. But at this time does not want to do any further work. I explained if this happens again and he gives us a call. We will come back out with a clear door but it would be a new service call. Unit is working as designed job complete."
