Started a drain and spin cycle to empty the unit and then reran diagnostics while monitoring power to the unit. Cycle ran properly and unit did not lose power at the outlet. Reran the test cycle a 3rd time to try to duplicate the issue. Unit ran properly again. Unit has an intermittant short in the drain circuit. When removing evap cover found unit evap had 1/4 frost pattern at the top, and no frost on bottom 3/4 of evap. Defrosted fan and fan started working again. Unit evap therm reads 15k ohms. Unit is pulling .196 amps and condenser fan is running. Called MM and was reccomended Sealed system repair, 3xl and evap for repair with compressor and drier. office to schedule with CX when all parts arrive. I then ran a manual spin and found that the unit is vibrating during the spin. I tipped the unit back and found a yellowish residue on the gearcase body. I also found that the belt is slipping on the drive pulley and has black dust in the cover. I am ordering the gearcase and related parts. Customer complaint unit is not cooling and it was ice building in the FC. I found the unit was unplugged and everything was thawed. I tested the unit and found the evaporator motor was bad. But also notice frost pattern is not good. Only the two coild are frosting. I tested compressor and is reading .7 amps but no full frsot pattern. Told customer that they could fix the fan but the unit most likely need SS. I instaled new fan and collected in full. Customer is going to monitor the unit and see if is cooling. But they will need SS if still having issues.
