"CX complaint unit not spinning and making noise. Inspected and found a F7E9(Locked Rotor) code stored. Attempted to manually spin and can hear the shifter plus motor powered but not spinning in test 12. Is agitating in test 14. Basket will not free spin. Removed the rotor, stator and clutch and basket still not free spinning. Slider moving freely. Gearcase seized. Discussed findings with MR and in agreeance. Unit needs new Gearcase plus Slider to be sure. Also replacing Rotor and Stator(covered under entitlements) be be thorough and sure weren't damaged trying to force basket. Quoted CX for repair. CX paid $120 for diagnosis but is upset with overall cost versed age of unit and wants to discuss with Maytag/Whirlpool before moving forward. **2Count for Gearcase!** -MJrob; ordrng 1 W11393685 (Gearcase) and 1 W11195971 (Stator) and 1 W11260238 (Rotor)"

"Customers complaint is the units not spending the clothes out and lid will not stay down. Inspected unit I found the lid is cracked at the supports so when the lid is pushed down it sticks up in the rear keeping the door locked from latching. But when you push down on the back left corner of the lid to hold it down the door will lock. Inspected unit found f0e 3 overload error code f0E5 off balance error code. And F5 e2 error code lid lock will not unlock. I ran test mode found the basket very off balance. The making noise. I checked under unit unit is not leaking oil at this time. But I do have play from the wash plate to the gear case shaft. I quote a customer for replacing the lid, the gear case, slider, and wash plate,. Going to order the Evap Harness that the ice maker harness plugs to thinking there might be a continuity issue with then wires off the harness for the ice maker. was able to get unit pulled out but still had a hard time because the back left foot was down and catching on floor boards. had to pull unit out as far as i could then reach my arm in a small gap to screw the foot back in to get unit out. cx installers who said it came out easy only pulled it out halfway and didnt find that problem. from what cx is telling me unit washes fine but doesnt drain everytime. replaced heater and drain pump from sump asm ordered. tested unit. at step7 unit ended cycle without draining. washmotor ran fine the whole time including during step7 but its supposed to run drain pump at same time. may just be an issue with diag cycle bc ive had units do this but worked fine in normal operation. advised cx to monitor and call back if issues persist. cont in sticky notes.

"before install i checked error codes. found a f9e1(slow drain) and a f8e2(incoming water under 90f). cx says the unit has been leaving water in the tub after every wash but they have noticed the control will black out after a couple hours in the wash cycle. the thermal fuse(cx), drain pump(cx), inlet valve(cx), float switch(cx), hose with check valve(cx), main control(via). called tech support and spoke with a rob. he said to replace the fuse with pigtail. cx has a second W10258275 fuse to replace. replaced the fuse and ran the diagnostic again. the unit failed with a f8e2(>90) again. cx needs to leave the hot water heater on. file number 7733957492"

Customers complaint is the unit is making too much ice and ice is dropping down behind the bin onto the bottom of the freezer cabinet. Inspected unit found the alarm extension is attached the alarm is attached ice maker is full to the brim and overfilling spilling out of the bin. I checked the bail extension and the bail arm. They are attached and I'm able to shut the ice maker off. I'm finding that the ice maker is not sensing when the bail arm is going up to keep unit from making too much ice. "CX complaint is that the RC is freezing water . I found that the unit is opperating as designed. CX is placing items next to the damper causing produce and vegetables to freeze. I found that the Thermistor is ohming out a 7800 ohms in a 38 degree cab. I took temp readings with a thermacupling and found temps in the RC at 39. I called WP Tech Line and spoke with Joel. I was able to explain my findings and it was suggested to turn the FC temp up to 3 and the RC temp to 39. Monitor the freezing in the RC over a 2-3 day time frame. If freezing contiunes CX is to turn the RC temps up 1 degree and continue to monitor temps. Per WP Tech Line , unit is opperating as designed. Please see SR"
